HUNTER of Darren Aronofsky's The Whale as part of The Movie Podcast's 2022 Toronto International Film Festival coverage. In our Round Table discussion with Brendan and Samuel, we‘re also joined by Rachel Ho of Exclaim! and Steve Norton of ScreenFish who have generously allowed us to include their questions. The Whale invites us to identify with a man in a precarious state of isolation that has been exacerbated by a potentially lethal mix of technology and our culture of body shaming. It stars Brendan Fraser, Sadie Sink, Hong Chau, Ty Simpkins, and Samantha Morton. The Whale will release theatrically by A24 and Elevation Pictures in December.
