Dr. Isaac Sharp, scholar on the history of Evangelicalism and author of the new book, The Other Evangelicals: A Story of Liberal, Black, Progressive, Feminist, and Gay Christians and The Movement That Pushed Them Out, sits down with Tim to discuss his book. Dr. Sharp explains his background in Evangelicalism and why he wrote his new book. Tim and Dr. Sharp discuss how Evangelicals are defined. They also discuss the history of Evangelicalism often left out of white conservative Evangelical narratives. Lastly, they discuss the power struggle within Evangelicalism for control of the definition of what it means to be Christian.
