The Offshore Wind Podcast from GWEC
Floating offshore wind has the potential to increase offshore wind resource by a factor of ten, and is set to play and increasingly relevant role in the global energy mix. As of the end of 2019, 65.7 MW of floating offshore wind capacity was installed globally, with up to 19GW forecasted to be installed by 2030.
In this episode of The Offshore Wind Podcast, hosts Ben Backwell and Stewart Mullin are joined by the Chair of GWEC's Floating Offshore Wind Task Force and industry pioneer Henrik Stiesdal, to discuss technology innovation in this growing sector, and the way forward to drive cost reduction and position floating offshore wind as a key enabler of decarbonisation and industry growth across the world.
