She spent most of her career working in Evangelical Christian Schools. Since retiring she has spent her time travelling and supporting Mackie’s Place, a non-profit organization that helps youth succeed by overcoming difficulty. She is married with two adult sons. Max Harwood attends Holy Nativity Orthodox Church in Langley, BC, Canada. He has an Undergrad in Biblical Studies (Columbia Bible College) and a Masters in Theology (Orthodox School of Theology, University of Toronto).
