Today Aaron and I run a mock interview with Instagram from the perspective of a new photographer looking to join the platform amongst a fury of complaints and woes. We get into the importance of having a discussion with your client before a shoot and encouraging them to share directly with you what it is they're hoping to receive as deliverables. Lastly, we revisit the importance of developing your people skills. Businesses and brands like to hire individuals that are easy to work with, not necessarily those who are the most skilled. We define what "easy to work with" actually means.
Big shoutout to this week's #TPMartwork feature @spencerlee808 with his beautiful shot of a turtle softly floating through the clear blue water off the coast of Hawaii! YWe love the use of negative space and those tasty sun rays poking through the top of the image. Congrats Spencer! If you're not using Spotify, you can now view #TPMartwork features on our Instagram profile under the "TPMartwork" highlight icon. Be sure to check out more of Spencer's work and keep submitting to the hashtag for your chance to have your image featured and talked about on a future episode!

Go get shooting, go get editing, and stay focused.
