Wildlife Reels, Digging into Social Media Metrics, & Happiness as a State of Being with @marysmark

Mary Parkhill (@marysmark) is a weekend warrior photographer who has experienced considerable quantitative social media audience growth in a short amount of time mostly in part due to her incredible wildlife reels and videos of animal behaviour in Juneau, Alaska. In this interview we dive into her work life as a veteran marketing consultant and ask questions that see marketing intuition support some excellent concepts and mentality for approaching photography and your own personal journey. We get the scoop on the wildlife scene in Alaska and what it's like living there, as Mary does for the summers. We explore the importance of doubling down on what's working on your social media pages if growing your accounts are important to you, even if for the short term it may go against what you'd like to be doing. The idea is that short term pain may equal long term gain where you will have the audience size to make a go at photography in the way you want. Lastly, we talk about making happiness a state of being and something you can decide to make for yourself, as opposed for a target in the future that you're aiming to hit.
