Dwan flops second pair and a backdoor straight draw to Broadway. He checks, and Doug decides to check back after flopping only a backdoor straight draw and backdoor flush draw.
Turn – Ac:
The board-pairing ace of clubs on the turn improves Dwan to two pair. He checks for the second time, and Doug fires out a delayed continuation bet of $17,000 with no pair and no draw. Dwan calls with the best hand as they head to the river.
River – 5s:
Another 5 on the river double pairs the board. Dwan checks with his pair of tens. Doug is now playing the board with aces and fives and a ten kicker and can only win by betting.
