The Republican Party hasn’t just lost their minds and become anti-democratic overnight. Democracy was always less important to them than power, so as long as democracy upheld their power they supported it, now that it doesn’t, it’s out. The goal is clear: 1950’s style white, Christian, male dominance and they’ve been plotting to bring it back since the Democratic Party betrayed the idea by opening their minds & party to expanding civil rights in the 1960’s.
