As students studying with shamanic teachers, we often lose sight of the fact that teachers apprenticed with shamans who individualized their teachings and transmissions to suit their personality. Then these teachers go on to lead big groups not realizing some of what they share was a personal way of working instead of a public one. Is there is a correct way to perform shamanic work?
