Pat Coil is an accomplished pianist, composer, producer, arranger, teacher, and highly respected studio musician. His credits span the musical spectrum of jazz, R&B, pop, country and gospel. He is known for his genius level musicianship but also for his kind and gentle nature. Pat has worked live or in the studio with Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Natalie Cole, Larry Carlton, Olivia Newton John, Michael McDonald, Nancy Wilson, Trisha Yearwood, Travis Tritt, Carmen Mcrae, Ernie Watts, George Straight, Woody Herman, Peter Cetera, Barry Manilow, Kenny Rogers and so many more. Jacob and Pat talk about Pat’s early days on the piano, how he got a scholarship playing tuba, his first orchestra date in L.A., and how he balanced touring and being a professor.
