Jason is the creator, producer, writer and head elf of the true crime satire podcast Santa Maybe, a Criminal. Jason has been an audio producer for more than a half dozen popular podcasts including several popular true crime podcasts and those of other genres. We talk about creating and writing fictional characters, both those that are naughty and those that are nice and how to create authentic characters that people can relate to but who also can take people to a magical and different place.

We're going to discuss the inspirations for those, what it takes to make an authentic and transporting character and the gift that writers all give us through taking us to other places. While we focus on fiction, they go off the beaten track to talk about some of the biggest issues of the day.
