17-Year-Old Charged In Deadly Kenosha Shootings, Motive Unclear

A 17-year-old has been charged in the deadly Kenosha shootings and police say the shooters motive is unclear. The Kenosha curfew is hours away as the Justice Department is sending federal law enforcement. Wisconsin Justice Department and Kenosha police are not releasing the details of the shooting. Trump is vowing to crackdown on violence in Kenosha.

At least 26 states are reporting new cases in college students as universities struggle to control the spread of the virus. The New York City mayor says that about 20 percent of cases in the city are associated with people who have traveled. CDC reversal on people quarantining for 14 days after travel alarming health experts. The California governor says that the state will defy new CDC testing guidelines. 

The Gulf Coast is bracing for a category 4 hurricane. Hurricane Laura intensifies to category 4 and threatens "unsurvivable" storm surge as it approaches the Gulf Coast. 

A RNC official says that Pence is expected to "take some lumber to Joe" in his speech tonight.
