House Republicans are to meet tomorrow, amid post-Trump infighting, to answer questions about the future of the GOP. The House GOP leader is to meet with Rep. Greene after Mitch McConnell slams her "loony lies" as a "cancer" on the GOP, as democrats move to remove her from committees. More GOP senators are distancing themselves from Marjorie Taylor Greene.
McConnell dodges a question on whether he wished he had rejected Trump's 2020 conspiracy theories sooner.
House Democrats say that former President Donald Trump's blame for the January 6 riot is "unmistakable" as his defense lawyers claim that no senate authority will try the ex-president. House impeachment managers say that "Trump's conduct must be declared unacceptable in the clearest and most unequivocal terms." Trump's defense lawyers are arguing that Trump had his first amendment right to discuss the "suspect" election results ahead of the riot.
The senate confirms that two more are now in Biden's cabinet. The women are Mayorkas, who works at Homeland Security and BUttigieg for transportation.
