San Jose Gunman Detained In 2016 By Border Officials; Found Terrorism Notes

According to the Wall Street Journal, the San Jose gunman was detained in 2016 by border officials who found notes about terrorism and hatred of his workplace. The gunman had 32 high-capacity magazines and was carrying three handguns during the attack, according to officials. 

THe GOP is set to choose between former President Donald Trump and the truth in a key test vote on creating a Jan 6 commission. MItch McConnell is doubling down on his opposition of a insurrection commission. According to a GOP source, McConnell asked for "a personal favor" for republican senators to vote against the Jan 6 commission. 

The mother of the fallen Capitol police officer says that GOP senators who are against a Jan 6 commission should "visit my son's grave." GOP Sen. Collins says, "We owe it to Capitol officers to investigate Jan 6." 

President Joe Biden is to propose a $6 trillion budget tomorrow with the highest sustained levels of federal spending since WWII. The GOP counters Biden's infrastructure plan with a $928 billion offer and the White House says it's "encouraged." Biden says talks about infrastructure need to "close down soon."
