President Donald Trump is no longer negotiating with Democrats on a COVID-19 Stimulus Bill. He made his announcement via Twitter on Tuesday.
After Trump's announcement, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi suggested in a phone call with House Democrats that the steroids he's taking for coronavirus may be impacting his thinking. The DOW also closed sharply lower after Trump ended stimulus talks on Capitol Hill.
The coronavirus is spreading in the U.S. Government. Four Press Aides in the White House have tested positive for COVID-19. Senior Pentagon Leaders are also quarantining after a top U.S. Coast Guard official tested positive. The Pentagon released a statement Tuesday, saying in part the officials are quarantining out of an "abundance of caution."
The White House doctor, Sean Conley, says the President reported "no symptoms" on Tuesday and that his vitals were "stable." However, sources tell CNN, there are lingering concerns about Trump's health after he showed some apparent trouble breathing on his return to the White House.
Coronavirus cases are still rising in the United States. More than 210,000 people have died from the disease and there are close to 7.5 million confirmed cases.
