President Donald Trump is on his rally blitz as the United States sees a surge in Covid-19 cases. Trump brought his campaign to Carson City, Nevada Sunday night.
New cases of coronavirus are spiking across the country. Now, the United States is averaging more than 55,000 new cases daily.
Twitter removed a tweet from White House coronavirus task force member Dr. Scott Atlas that undermine mask-wearing. Atlas' tweet from Saturday read, "Masks work? NO" followed by a series of misrepresentations about the science behind the effectiveness of masks in combating the pandemic. According to Twitter, the policy Atlas violated prohibits sharing false or misleading content related to Covid-19 that could lead to harm.
Democratic Presidential Nominee Joe Biden is back on the campaign trail. He rallied voters in North Carolina Sunday where polls show a tight race. Biden's running mate, California Senator Kamala Harris will return to the campaign trail Monday. The Biden Campaign previously suspended her travel for a few days, out of an abundance of caution, after two members of her traveling team tested positive for coronavirus.
President Barack Obama is also set to hit the road for Joe Biden in the final days of the election. He will hold his first in-person appearance in Philadelphia on Wednesday. Trump says he's happy Obama is campaigning for Biden.
