United States Death Toll Nears 128,000 As Coronavirus Cases Surge

The United States death toll nears 128,000 as cases surge in 37 states. 19 states have paused or rolled back reopening their states. 

The California governor orders almost 75 percent of the state back to a near shutdown. The California governor also orders 19 counties, including Los Angeles, to close all indoor activities amid record cases. Georgia, Arizona and California set a coronavirus case record in the last 24 hours. Arizona and Texas have reported a record number of hospitalizations. Texas reported 8,076 new coronavirus cases, which is the highest single day number reported. The New York Governor warns of "storm clouds" and slipping compliance. The Georgia governor says that wearing a mask is "the right thing to do" but won't issue a statewide mandate.The Florida governor says that the coronavirus "doesn't like sunshine, heat, humidity." 

Trump is in denial and claims "we did it all right," coronavirus will "sort of just disappear." Trump says "ask for masks" don't need to be mandatory. He also said "I had a mask on, I sort of liked the way I looked... it looked like the lone ranger.
