President Biden and House Speaker Pelosi were unable to garner enough votes to pass the infrastructure bill after each speaking with members of congress today. Several key provisions have now been removed, but remaining items include childcare/universal pre-k, $555 billion in climate incentives, 3 years of ACA premium support, and $150 billion for affordable housing. Biden says without a doubt this legislation will determine his presidency in the coming weeks as he leaves for Europe to meet with world leaders on climate initiatives and further reposition the US on the international stage.
