Alana Mars is the recently launched solo project of Denver based singer/songwriter Alana Margolis. Originally from Allentown, PA, Alana grew up listening to the iconic music of the 60s and 70s - an influence easily heard in her sweet yet haunting tone and weaving, rhythmic melodies.

In 2016, Alana moved to Denver to attend the University of Colorado Denver’s College of Arts and Media, where she graduated with a double major in Songwriting and Music Business. At the University, Alana met collaborators Megan Ellsworth and Katie Smith and the three formed the band Sister Neapolitan, cheekily named after their corresponding hair colors of blonde, red, and brown. With Sister Neapolitan, Alana has performed at SXSW, The NAMM Showcase, and multiple Sofar Sounds showcases across the country.

The music of Alana Mars is the perfect indie combination of new-age contemporary meets Stevie Nicks. With the fresh sounds of Alana Mars currently brewing in the studio, the anticipation is rising among those who know Mars’ tuneful voice and spunky spirit. Alana Mars is recording her debut EP with producer Ben Pisano of Corsicana, a partnership sure to bring crisp yet delightfully dark music into the world.
