The SonicScoop Podcast | Music Production, Audio Engineering, and The Business of Music
There's a big misconception about how sampling rate works in audio. And we're going to put it to rest.
Justin Colletti exposes the most pernicious myth about sample rate: That with too few samples, the shape of the original waveform can be misrepresented.
Sine waves could turn into triangle or sawtooth waves if you tried to "draw" them using too few "dots". That this could happen seems logical, and intuitive... but is 100% wrong!
Almost all of us assume this is what would happen at one point or another. But today Justin proves why it's wrong in three ways., and give advice on choosing the best sample rate for you.
