Kids' lies, secret families and parent fail confessions

This unhelpful parenting podcast is FULL of funny stories, lies your kids have told and confessions!

First we start with our weekly yays & nays, and parenting has hit us hard this week!

Bec's yay: The hilarious moment in the butcher where the 3 year old couldn't work out where the animals were...

Bec's nay: The wheels have fallen off this year. It's week 3 of school and we are ordering tuckshop and forgetting library books.

Sam's yay: cute kids wanting to live with us forever...

Sam's nay: the 3yo's meltdown at swimming over new pants!

We've got 2 quick stories for parents in the news this week - with the random off beat news stories only parents can really relate to! We've got:

- A Doogie Howser 13 year old impersonating a doctor

- A seal caught sleeping in a hotel room (just like our kids appearing in our bed!)

Then we are into the answers parents sent in (mostly on social media( to the question: what's the funniest lie your kid has told?

There's kids making up whole new families, getting parents in trouble at school, bitcoin mining and blaming other people (or elephants!) for their behaviour.

Then we are into the confessional - following up a story from the last parenting confession and addressing the keyboard warriors who just don't understand parenting! We've got parents who dismissed major injuries because they thought kids were faking (and feel TERRIBLE!), and parents at the opposite end who tried to follow up an injury only to find 6 weeks in their kid was faking it perfectly.

If you've had a fail, and gotten it wrong - you aren't alone! So long as we are trying and doing our best to love our kids - sometimes you need to remember there's no perfect parents and no one gets it right every time! #PARENTINGSUPPORT
