Natalie Jensen - Finding Your Voice After Great Loss - Part 2 - Beyond the Line of Duty

49 min • 28 oktober 2019

In this episode, I have a conversation with one of my best friends, Natalie Jensen, about the loss of her husband, Jared. Natalie opens up about
- situations that can complicate traumatic and mourning experiences
- the loss of not only Jared, but also her life as it was with Jared
- her gratitude for the multitude of support she had through this loss
-  the experience of going through a trial process and how that can affect a healing process
- how her therapist Keith, walked beside her and prepared her for what she would experience during the trial (I chose to cut this section - but we lost Keith June 18, 2012 - which was an incredible loss to both of us)
- how performing is part of her DNA and how it was to go to her first audition after suffering such a tragic event
- the difference between a Grieving Process and a Mourning Process, and the importance of both.
- how Jareds death was a catalyst for her work with survivors and those suffering from Big T trauma in her working toward clinical social work licensure

'You are seen in the falling of the leaves, the perfection of each snow flake, the rising of the sun, the flight of each butterfly, the appearance of each crow. You are etched in our hearts, where you will forever live on.'
