“Is the spirit of a dead person here?” Sarah asked, ignoring the strange glances from her peers. The planchette slid to “no,” much to the amusement of the other kids. Sarah became nervously excited.

“Are you an evil spirit?” she asked. The planchette practically teleported across the board, nearly escaping the kids’ fingertips on its way to “yes.”
