Sharlene Hector is a UK singer/songwriter. She has worked as a backing vocalist with Alicia Keys, Muse, Primal Scream, Rebecca Ferguson, Lalah Hathaway, Tinie Tempah, Josh Groban and Michael Bublé, as well as performing on TV shows such as X Factor and Sounds Like Friday night with the likes of One Republic and John Legend.
For the past 20 years she has fronted the UK House group Basement Jaxx as a lead vocalist, headlining shows at Glastonbury and V Festival, as well as touring with Blonde, Emeli Sandé and Sam Sparro.
She’s the featured vocalist on the Riva Starr and Armand Van Helden single ‘Step It Up’, ‘Saviour’ by Dimension and the Reel People classic ‘The Rain’.
The list of artists she has collaborated with is long, varied and includes Clean Bandit, Dr Meaker, DJ Will Clarke, Royal Blood, Rag And Bone Man, The Horrors, Dave Stewart (Eurythmics), Wretch 32, Natasha Bedingfield, Nicole Scherzinger, Mark Ronson, Paloma Faith, Kano, JP Cooper and Omar.
She was the face of Coca-Cola's 'I Wish' ad campaign back in 2004, where she played the lead role of a girl walking down the street handing out bottles of Coca-Cola.
