Thin Line Believers is a podcast and devotional by first responders, for first responders. We believe in every Word of the Bible and hope to offer encouragement to police, firefighters, paramedics and veterans.
The podcast Thin Line Believers is created by Adam. The podcast and the artwork on this page are embedded on this page using the public podcast feed (RSS).
Trials often occur for a reason, and as long as that reason is not the results of our own actions, it may just be a work the Lord is doing within us. We should allow that work to reach its completion. Mike and Adam talk about their own trials and what results they've had in their lives. Also, is Justin Trudeau the son of Cuban dictator Fidel Castro? The similarities in traits are uncanny. www.thinlinebelievers.comInstagram and X: @thinlinebelievers [email protected]
The Bible has a lot to say about marriage and divorce. It is a spiritual representation of the church's relationship with Christ. If that's the case, why is there so much divorce even within the church? How can we avoid divorce? What does the Bible say about those who have already been through a divorce (or two)? Pastor Rory answers these questions and more from a Biblical perspective.

Our guest is Noel Fenderson, a police officer, business owner, brother in Christ, father and husband. Biblical manhood is extremely important in today's society that is increasingly trying to weaken men.
Today's guest is Josh Cook, he is the founder of Enter the Lion, a ministry for first responders. Josh and Adam discuss critical incidents, post traumatic stress and anxiety that come from a career in Law Enforcement and how Josh has been set free from the bondage of anxiety.
Griffin is an entrepreneur and businessman, having created his own mustache wax. He's also a former firefighter with years of experience. Griffin recently went through a time of faith-building that has led him to move from Texas to Utah as God has directed his path.
Mike and Adam discuss whether pastors should be political or not, especially from the pulpit. Also, should Christians vote? Just a couple of the topics discussed in this latest podcast.
Events going on around the world point to the imminent rapture of the church and the return of Christ to establish His Kingdom. Look up!
A new movie that tells the story of Pastor Chuck Smith and the original Calvary Chapel was released recently and Pastor Mike offers his review of the movie. Adam and Mike also discuss how the church should respond to those who may not "fit the mold" of the church.
Michael and Adam discuss a newly erected statue in NYC that supposedly represents Ruth Ginsburg, but looks like it honors something even more sinister. What do idols like this say about the spiritual state of a country? Seems pretty obvious, but certainly worth talking about.
Scott Robertson is a Game Warden in the great state of Texas. He is also heavily involved in a couple local ministries as part of his local church community.
Isaiah 9:6 and 7 tell us some characteristics of the coming Christ, prophesied hundreds of years before He was born. Adam goes over these characteristics in light of where we are today.
Jack Pearl is a law enforcement officer in Texas. He has a tactical training business and is a part-time coach with @effective.fitnesstraining. Jack brings his perspective on the importance of fellowship and fitness with a foundation of faith.

First responders experience trauma and critical incidents multiple times throughout their careers. Adam & Michael discuss some Biblical tools to help us survive mentally and spiritually following trauma.
The enemy is slowly working his way into our country, our schools and even the Church. We have to understand his tactics and push back the darkness.
Start living your faith courageously!
Adam listens to Michael sharing his pastorly wisdom
David was chosen to be king of Israel after Saul had disobeyed the Lord. Jesse's eldest sons, though they appeared kingly, were not chosen by God. Why? God told Samuel, "Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart (see 1 Samuel 16:7). Ultimately David was chosen as the next king of Israel. What about David's heart made him the Lord's choice for the throne?
When a police officer or pastor loses their moral authority, can they ever get it back? How does one lose their influence? Mike and Adam discuss the importance of maintaining our morality, especially in the ministry. They also discuss a pastor who has recently been in the spotlight for the wrong reasons.

The state of the union, the state of the church, the state of the world. . . We are living in some wild times. Everyone is on edge and seemingly about to explode. Thankfully, Mike offers some insight into what we really need. This one didn't end the way I thought it would.

Does the Lord delay His return? As Peter indicated, this is a common theme in our day. Just as people mocked Noah before the Flood, so people now mock Christians who await the rapture of the church.
Adam and Mike talk about a passage from 2 Peter in light of current events.

The biggest necessity in the face of depression and anxiety is hope. Without hope we are just treading water in shark infested waters with no land in sight.
Adam talks about a recent experience he had and why he believes the missing ingredient was hope.

Michael shares some wisdom this week from Micah 6:8
Fathers are a necessity to raising up the next generation properly. It is especially important for first responders to raise their kids the right way, as we see the way they can turn out if we aren't present.
How can a parent who is also a police officer or firefighter be most effective in raising their kids? That's the question Michael and Adam tackle in this episode of Thin Line Believers Podcast.

Gun control makes its way to the forefront of political debates again. Canada presents legislation to (eventually) disarm the public. What should we as Christians believe? Was the Second Amendment a mistake? What is the real issue here, and how do we fix it?

We talk about trials and tribulations a lot. That's because everyone faces them constantly and if we aren't ready spiritually, we can easily succumb to the depression and anxiety that follow. Listen in and be encouraged!

Recently an opinion piece was published in the NY Times expressing the opinion that God was brutal. It even compared God to Putin's war on Ukraine. Here's my opinion as a believer.
Good Friday was rough for the disciples. Saturday was dark and depressing. What they didn't know is Sunday was going to bring new life! The same goes for us. Times are dark right now, but Jesus is coming back soon!

To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven: A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted; A time to kill, And a time to heal; A time to break down, And a time to build up; A time to weep, And a time to laugh; A time to mourn, And a time to dance; -Ecclesiastes 3:1-4
This passage of Scripture framed the conversation with Mike and Adam this week.
There is a great deception being pushed in the world today. Everything from the plandemic to the war in Ukraine, the media has an agenda that is becoming more and more obvious. As first responders, we need to know the truth before we ever set foot into the world, or we'll be susceptible to any lie that comes our way. The best way to identify a counterfeit is to be so familiar with the authentic that any fake will be easily distinguished. In Matthew 24, the first thing Jesus said to the disciples regarding end times was "Be sure you are not deceived". It seems that is one of the main signs we are to be aware of, and it's happening all around.

In Revelation 6 we are introduced to what we now call the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. With them come all sorts of horrors, such as hyperinflation, plagues, famines, war and more. With what is currently happening on the world scene, it appears to us these horses are saddled and ready to ride. It's just a matter of time. Only God knows the day and the hour as to when these things will kick off. We need to know what is going on as it concerns Bible prophecy. Why? Because it's in the Bible.
Adam and Michael discuss these four horsemen in light of what we are seeing. Moreso, they offer some hope for the Believer in these days.

In this bonus episode, Adam was able to sit down with Chaplain Jim Crowley to talk about his life in retirement. Jim talks about some of the methods he's using to help his mental and spiritual health, to include gratitude.
Jim was the co-founder of Central Oregon Public Safety Chaplaincy and spent several years caring for law enforcement and fire personnel in their day to day duties. He still enjoys training up peers in Critical Incident Stress Management.
What characteristics do the modern Christian man portray? Is he harmless and straight laced? Some of the most dangerous men throughout our history have been Christian men.
Weakness is not to be confused with meekness. The modern Christian man needs to be prepared to stand for what is right, even if it means getting our hands dirty. Enjoy this latest podcast with Mike and Adam.
Sometimes anxiety will manifest itself due to a lack of faith. Michael and Adam discuss this topic in light of the recorded healings Jesus performed in Matthew, and the emphasis He placed on faith. In one case, Jesus "marveled" at a man's faith. In another case, the disciples "marveled" at Jesus's calming of a storm, due to their lack of faith.
If you struggle with anxiety, we feel you and we can relate. This topic of discussion was as much for you as it was for us.
Michael and Adam talk about several current events and what it means in light of Bible prophecy.
The world is being prepared for what the Bible tells us will take place in the future. Are you ready? Is your spiritual house in order?
www.thinlinebelievers.com
Well this is an unpleasant topic, but one we cannot ignore. A law enforcement couple who committed suicide recently in Florida, and several line of duty deaths have caught our attention and are very deserving of at least a conversation. Mike and Adam discuss these topics and give a little hint as to what the next topic will be.
The horrors of hell aren't often discussed, but they should be. Jesus spoke of hell on several occasions and in this video we discuss just one of them. People aren't sent to hell, they choose it.
If someone decides they don't want anything to do with Jesus, they don't want anything to do with God, the only place to escape is in hell. Hell was created for the devil and his angels. You and I have a choice, and it's the most important decision of our lives. #faith #christianity
Here's a rapid fire update about several things that have occurred in the past year that point us to the end times as described in the Bible.
With several headlines, Mike and Adam take us through events that coincide with the Biblical end of days as described in several locations to include Daniel, Ezekiel, Isaiah, 2 Timothy, Matthew, Luke, Thessalonians and Revelation.
This update is to provide hope to the listener as well as a sense of urgency as Jesus Christ is going to return for his Church very very soon. In this episode, we'll provide ample proof that time is short.
Why should we exercise? Why should we work at being physically fit? There are innumerable reasons, but you have to be able to find your own 'why' when it comes to fitness, otherwise that New Year's resolution will end before the ball drops.
This week Mike and Adam chat about fitness as first responders and also in ministry. Join us as Mike brings us his perspective as he has a background in ministry, fire suppression, law enforcement and fitness.

What are the characteristics a Christian should be displaying? Galatians 5 gives us the difference between the acts of the flesh and the fruits of the spirit.
Have you seen the insanity going on around us? There's really no other answer.... We have to intercede for those who aren't yet saved. We must pray for them and be ready to give an answer to where our hope comes from!
Join Mike and Adam as they talk current events from a Biblical perspective.
Just a quick note, prayer and encouragement.

This is a call to arms! This is a rally cry to those watching our world go up in flames! Why are we afraid?! This is no time to sit on the sidelines and hope for things to go "back to normal", this is the time to step out in faith and step up! We rally not under a flag, not under any human leader, we rally at the Cross!
A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you. - Psalm 91:7

Our passages come from Acts and 2 Timothy. The most important question we've asked in a long time is 'What do you believe?' As important is maybe 'Whom do you believe?'
Who we are in Christ is extremely important to understand when it comes to our relationship with Him. We aren't just a part of creation, but we are the most carefully and meticulously designed part of His creation.

There is a pandemic going on, but it's not exactly what you think.

In this episode I pose a question to Josiah and Michael: Is there any hope for America, or is she too far gone? The answer provided is precisely what I had hoped for.
“As it is written, ‘There is none righteous, no, not one.'” (Romans 3:10, KJV)
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23, KJV)
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8, KJV)
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23, KJV)
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13, KJV)
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Mike and Adam with y'all this week and Mike takes us to the foundation of it all. Doesn't matter how well the structure is built if the foundation is junk, so let's make sure we're on solid ground. To do so, we'll take a lesson from Paul and apply it in our own lives. Here we go, put that body armor on and let's get this briefing started.
How do we know we're living in the "Last Days"? Let's have us a look at 2 Timothy chapter 3 and compare it with the times we're living in. We're going to see the Bible is right 100% of the time. God has revealed to us the future so that when these things begin to happen, we'll look up and know our redemption draws near. This episode also has some practical advice on how first responders should be approaching the Word.

Are you a cop? Are you a doctor? Are you a realtor? It's easy to allow our career or our job to become who we are. It's often how we respond when someone asks who we are or what we do. But really, who are we? Josiah and Michael brought this week's topic as the three of us dive into where our identity should be and how do we keep it there.
It's not easy to be a servant these days, even when we're technically in the field of "public service". Today we talk about our own personal experiences and how it relates to service. We dabble in what we look for in a good leader also (hint hint, it has to do with being a servant leader). Check it out as Mike, Josiah and Adam crack into these topics.
These times of chaos suck all our energy from our physical, mental and spiritual lives. Michael and Adam talk about the best way they've found to receive rest in spite of what's going on in the world.
Fear has driven people since Adam and Eve ate that forbidden fruit. What causes fear and anxiety to grab hold of us and how do we break its grip? Listen in as Josiah, Michael and Adam discuss this topic.
What is salvation and who is eligible? Josiah, Michael and Adam discuss these topics from their law enforcement perspectives.
