For todays episode of the podcast I am joined by a man that gave the world one of the biggest chorus' of the 00's.

It's Robbie Furze from The Big Pink and we are going fully meta because we are discussing The Big Pink's debut album!

He's a man that's gone from living in his van and playing in squats, to receiving million pound advances and travelling the world.

Robbie also shares a massive exclusive with me featuring two of the biggest and best "Jamie's" in the industry.

So I figured I'd get him on the show to discuss his upcoming release and an album that he literally lent me his copy of, back when people had CDs.

Jake is one half of the team behind the Screenrot podcast which is easily my favourite podcast of the moment.

Having listened to so much of his content over the last 9 or so months, I was confident he'd be a perfect guest and have a great album to discuss. He did not disappoint!

Real Estate's second album is a woozy dream like time capsule of a summer that never existed. Jake and I deep dive not just the album, but melancholoy, nostalgia and Seasonal Affective Disorder Synrdome. Naturally.

It's also VERY silly.

It's fun, it's neurotic and it's a must listen for any milennial man that's ever over romaticised the joy of smoking fags and drinking beer with your friends when you were younger.

Episode 12 sees me joined by the best rapper to come out of The Midlands for a generation, it's Wohdee!

Wohdee was not messing about and picked the most niche album of the series by a LONG way...

It's an album that's not on streaming services and was only released in 4 countries. So as you'd imagine, it's got a hell of a story to it and so does Wohdee!

This is a must listen for anyone that's into 90's R&B, UK Hip Hop or of hearing a millennial white man sound 1000 years olf for using the word "naff."

Come for the hot takes on The 1975 and Neil Young, stay for the incredible Libertines and Caribou anecdotes.

Ben and I have many a Glastonbury under our belts.

One of us loves the line up, one of us less so.

But obviously, it doesn't matter who's bloody playing when it's at the greatest festival on earth!

Will is someone who has been appearing on my algorithm for a while now, but I didn’t really know anything about the man behind the microphone and I was unsure if he was even going to be a good guest….

Wow, did I underestimate him!

His love and knowledge of music was unbelievably impressive. We got on like a house on fire and he was probably the easiest I’ve gelled with a guest yet.

We discuss Antoine Greizmann, the sanctity of physical media, and I think we have an exclusive….. this may be the first podcast to ever mention Party Shank, Primark in Harrow AND David Gilmour.

There’s no doubt about it, Bloc Party are one of the best bands of their generation and I felt incredibly lucky to get to spend an hour talking to their iconic guitarist Russell about one of his favourite albums, Weezer.

Russell was incredibly honest during our chat and we discuss the loneliness he felt as a teenager. We also discuss the accidentally genius marketing from Weezer and we celebrate 20 years of Bloc Party’s debut album, Silent Alarm.
