'Da 5 Bloods': A Spike Lee Historical Joint (Black History Stories) - EPISODE 114

It's  Black History Month and we're celebrating by watching films that talk  about the history of the African-American people, something we're  calling our "Black History Stories" round. Our second entry for this  round is Spike Lee's Oscar nominated film, "Da 5 Bloods".   Four African-American vets battle the forces of man and nature when they  return to Vietnam seeking the remains of their fallen squad leader and  the gold fortune he helped them hide.

Is this one of the best  Vietnam movies ever? How well did Spike Lee's in-your-face use of  archival footage work for us? And does Chadwick Boseman steal the movie,  even with his limited screen time? All of that, plus we put together  our Vietnam Movies Rushmore Mountain!
