Our second entry into the "Female Gaze" round is 'Honey Boy', written by Shia LaBeouf and based on his own experiences. Award-winning filmmaker Alma Har'el brings to life a story about a young actor who is learning to understand and deal with his father while navigating his own career.  

We are lucky enough to be joined by Jon, from the "Life's But A Song" podcast. We chatted about the impact Alma had on Shia's screenplay and how it was told, how we are continuously blown away when we find out child actors are British, and make our elevator pitches.
