Alex Taits - ARC Microturbine Generator

Startup founder Alex Taits describes the ARC Microturbine Generator, a modular 8 kilowatt electrical power system for drones based on a miniature turbine engine. Alex Taits is the Founder & CEO of FusionFlight, a next-generation aerospace startup developing jet-powered VTOL aircraft and compact microturbine generators. Over the years, Alex has worked in a diverse set of industries including jet propulsion, semiconductors, autonomous vehicles and simulation for well-known companies including Firehawk Aerospace, Stalker Radar, Bell Flight, Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne, and GE Nuclear Energy, among others. Alex has a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California, and joins us today to discuss microturbine technology for aerial mobility and compact energy production.
