Dr. Brent Ziarnick reviewed the classified histories of the Rendlesham Forest Incident, Malmstrom AFB encounter, and other UFO events in the Air Force historical archives, and joins us to discuss his findings.
In this interview, we review 70 years of UFO encounters by the US Air Force, and discuss the challenges and opportunities faced by AARO in meeting the NDAA 2023 mandate for historical UFO research.
Dr. Brent Ziarnick is an Associate Professor at the Air Command and Staff College at Maxwell Air Force Base. Brent’s past roles include work with the New Mexico Spaceport Authority and Air Force Reserve, with a focus on management & leadership for space assets.
Brent is the author of three books, including “Developing National Space Power”, “To Rule The Skies”, and “21st Century Power”, which was “21st Century Power” was awarded best air power history book of 2021 by the Air Force Historical Society. Brent has also been published in Wired, Politico, and The Hill, among other popular media venues.
He has a PhD in military strategy from Air University, a PhD in Economic Development from New Mexico State University, a Master’s in Military Streategy from the School of Advanced Air and Space Studies, a Masters in Military Operational Art & Science from USAF Air Command & Staff College, an ME from the University of Colorado, and a Bachelor’s in Space Operations from the US Air Force Academy.
