Diana Pasulka - American Cosmic

Dr. Diana Palsulka discusses the belief, mythology and phenomenology of UFOs from her groundbreaking book on the topic, "American Cosmic: UFOs, Religion, Technology". Dr. Diana Palsulka is a professor of religious studies and chair of the department of philosophy and religion at the University of North Carolina, Wilmington. Dr. Pasulka has a B.A. from University of California, an M.A. from the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley, and a Ph.D. from Syracuse University, and has served as Chair of the Department of Philosophy and Religion at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where she is currently a professor. She also acts as a consultant for movies about the Catholic and religious supernatural (such as The Conjuring). Dr. Pasulka’s research centers on contemporary connections between technology and human belief in the context of religious history, as highlighted by her two recent books, "American Cosmic: UFOs, Religion, Technology", and "Encounters: Experiences with Nonhuman Intelligences".
