Dr. Matthew Gill discusses the hazards posed by space radiation & offers insights into protection for astronauts & computer hardware on space exploration missions. Dr. Matthew Gill is a nuclear engineer turned rocket scientist, and all-round radiation expert. He is the Founder of Space Radiation Services, a radiation testing and analysis company, and his career includes past roles include engineering, consulting & research positions at organizations including Astra, Apollo Fusion, Sellafield Energy, the UK Office for Nuclear Regulation, and Rolls Royce. Dr. Gill has a Masters with honors and PhD in Nuclear Engineering, and multi-disciplinary doctoral training in Nuclear Research Science & Technology from the University of Manchester.
