Remi Cornwall - Superluminal Communications & Secure Signaling

36 min • 25 september 2022
Remi Cornwall discusses a novel approach to superluminal communications & secure quantum signaling and provides insight into the EPR Paradox and "No-Communication Theorem". Our discussion today is focused on his 2006 paper “Secure Quantum Communication and Superluminal Signalling on the Bell Channel”. In this paper, he addressed “EPR Paradox”, stating, “Einstein wanted particles to have classical, objective properties and Special Relativity to be obeyed.” The full paper can be found at https://arxiv.org/pdf/1106.2257.pdf Remi has proposed a way around the EPR Paradox that allows superluminal signaling, citing Bohr, the principle of Complementarity, and the idea that unmeasured quantities don’t actually exist classically. He also proposes an experiment for instantaneous, superluminal communication involving “the detection of a photon entangled state as one binary digit and either of the collapsed states as the complement digit”. In his device description, "several tens of photons are sent per bit to allow for path differences between the two arms of the interferometer and accurate interference but in principle one photon per bit is possible". Remi Cornwall, an alumni of UMIST/Manchester and London University with Master’s degrees in electronic, electrical and information/software engineering and physics. He spent the early part of his career in industry at blue-chip companies but devoted his spare time to problems in engineering physics. His research company is currently working upon three projects – thermo-electric conversion with ferrofluids, secure communication by quantum entanglement and novel forms of electromagnetic propulsion.
