Lt. Gen. Steve Kwast (Ret.) describes the Skycorp company vision to empower business in the emerging space economy by lowering costs for space logistics and enabling new areas of commerce in space.
Skycorp was founded in 1998 by Dennis Wingo, and after many successful missions for government & private industry, the company has focused it's vision on space logistics built around a network of STARport and STARcraft devices:
• STARports are factories in space that will build modular satellites for any customer, and modernize, upgrade, and resupply, in order to extend the service life and lower costs.
• STARcraft are orbital logistics vehicles that assemble and fix satellites, carry them to orbit, retrieve space junk, and carry external customer payloads.
Lt. Gen. Steve Kwast retired from service in 2019 as the commander of the Air Education and Training Command, where he was responsible for training over 293,000 students per year.
Steve is a decorated veteran with over 650 combat flight hours and a 33-year career in the Air Force with over 30 awards and decorations, including the Air Force Distinguished Service Medal, Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, and the Bronze Star.
