On June 6th, 1993, a man appeared inside of a Be-Lo grocery store in Windsor, NC after closing hours. Brandishing a handgun, the man ordered the store manager and a cashier to empty the days earnings into a plastic bag in an apparent robbery.
After gathering up the money, the armed suspect then corralled the two employees, plus the four person floor cleaning crew and bound them. After being tied up, the suspect stacked the employees into three piles of two people a piece and then he opened fire.
After murdering three and severely wounding two others, the killer walked out into the quiet night never to be seen again. Some twenty-six years later the killer's identity remains unknown and investigators continue to work the case.
