On our first episode of True Crime Daily Sidebar, host Joshua Ritter is diving into the #FreeBritney movement and unraveling the tangled conservatorship that the singer is in the middle of fighting. How did the conservatorship start? Why has her father had control over his adult daughter’s life for the past 13 years? 

Joining Joshua is psychiatrist and former director of the County of Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services Dr. Charles Sophy, who at one point was asked to step into the case, but was prohibited from doing so due to the rules of the conservatorship.
