In a breaking development on Wednesday in the Murdaugh family double-murder case, Alex Murdaugh has admitted to allegedly hiring a would-be hitman to kill him in a botched suicide plot. Alex Murdaugh reportedly told his attorneys he hired a man to shoot him in the head so Murdaugh's surviving son would receive a $10 million insurance payout.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division has announced the arrest of Curtis Edward Smith, accused of being Murdaugh's accomplice. Smith is reportedly a former client of Murdaugh's. Alex Murdaugh is likely to face charges, his attorneys have said.
Charlotte, North Carolina-based attorney Robert K. Corbett III joins Ana Garcia to discuss the case.
