It’s becoming increasingly difficult to isolate reality. Hysteria grips our culture, and every argument is the same, you are entitled to your own opinion but not your own facts. The irony of this is that context is lost in the argument. Especially without context, it becomes immensely easier to control public perception. Through fallacies, careful selection of words, playing on emotions, exploiting human needs, etc., a particular perception of a specific reality can be formed. Perhaps the whole point in our idiotic and well-meaning debates is that we are asking the wrong questions and debating the wrong things.
