A ‘memory hole’ embodies the concept of censorship and rewriting the past in all of its authoritarian glory. But there are different forms of memory holes, and they aren’t just rabbit holes or worm holes. One such abyss is time, a relative thing few of us recognizes as probably the greatest censor of them all. How often do we forget what we did today, let alone last month, year, or a decade ago. It’s all improv.
