Natalie Diaz of Twiniversity chats with Crystal Duffy, mom of three girls, two of which are ID twins. Her twins struggled with a TTTS battle while Crystal was dealing with TTTS surgery, a placental abruption, and a 38 day NICU stay, Crystal has been through it all. Turning her unfortunate situation into a positive one, Crystal is now a Parent Advisor at her local NICU in Houston and the author of the upcoming book Twin To Twin. Crystal Duffy is a Latina writer with two degrees from Georgetown University. She began her career as an educational consultant and then worked as a public high school teacher. She is the author of her memoir, Twin to Twin, detailing her high-risk twin pregnancy. Her story was featured in Woman’s World and her essays on parenting have appeared in Twins Magazine, You&Me Medical Magazine, Scary Mommy, BluntMoms, Mamapedia and forthcoming Brain Child Magazine. She is a senior writer for Twiniversity. She serves as co-chair for the Parent Advisory Council for the NICU for Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Houston Medical Center. She is a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors, the Junior League of Houston, and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
