Actor, producer and director Raphael Sbarge joins us to revisit the origins of his 40+ year career in the entertainment industry. Starting with a role on Sesame Street, Raphael has been in some of our favorite 80s flicks: Vision Quest, Risky Business, and My Science Project. 

He also answers our listeners' questions about Werewolf (because of course), 1993's Carnosaur, how the film industry has changed and stayed the same, his favorite soundtracks, and navigating the world of being a child actor.

The amazingly talented star of stage (Hair, Broadway Bounty Hunter, Into the Woods) and screen (Miami Vice, Cheers, Orange is the New Black), Annie Golden, blows our minds with her stories! Annie talks about how singing with her band, The Shirts at CBGB's in the 70s, led to her being discovered by Miloš Forman, who cast her in Hair. This launched a career on Broadway and a solo singing career which led to her having a song (“Hang Up the Phone”) featured on the Sixteen Candles soundtrack. From there, she pivoted to the small and big screens with roles in 80s classics like Baby Boom, Cheers, and Desperately Seeking Susan. 

She has most recently been in Orange is the New Black as the lovable mute, Norma Romano and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel as Marge. She was also the special guest of Phish's most recent NYE performance at Madison Square Garden. We were thrilled to have her join us.

He talks about auditioning and landing the life-changing role of Alan Frog in The Lost Boys at age 16, meeting Corey Feldman for the first time during the callback and joining forces with him as the infamous vampire-fighting Frog Brothers from Santa Carla. He shares stories about his close relationship with both Coreys (Feldman and Haim) and how the LB set was where all three of them met each other for the first time. He shares why the The Lost Boys has stood the test of time, what it's like getting fully immersed in the convention scene and why you should never cut your hair for a school play!
