Ryles in Boston was the 2nd USA gig of the Paul Motian Trio with Bill Frisell and Joe Lovano. There are readings from Motian's unpublished autobiography about a March 1984 European Tour that Paul organized for his quintet that included Jim Pepper and Ed Schuller.
