In this episode of the show we are taking a look at Mark Romanek's Never Let Me Go, an adaptation of a Kazuo Ishiguro novel penned by none other than Alex Garland. Over the course of our discussion we ponder how easy it is for this film to hide its science-fiction high concept backbone, ruminate over the film's multitude of interpretations, hail its great performances and even attempt to view it as a cinematic expression of veganism. Most of all, we scratch our heads as to why Never Let Me Go did not persist in the cultural consciousness for more than a minute despite the fact it would likely be a Film Twitter darling if it was released today.
Tune in and enjoy!
