TMDG5: Butterfly Lemonade

On this episode of Under the Library:

As Tommy, Amelia, Dev, and Rufus sit down to dinner in the strange mansion, they are served plates of lightly seared tuna. Their hosts, however, are served plates of raw tuna swimming in blood. Although Tommy feels comfortable enough to reveal a taste for raw animal flesh, Rufus feels uncomfortable and flees the dinner. As he leaves, and Dev follows, they are accosted by strange creatures while crossing the moat at the bottom of the stairs.

Inside, Nathaniel accompanies Amelia upstairs to see his documents from the HMS Paragon. She returns downstairs to find that Tommy has stabbed Genevieve, who seems wholly unaffected by the wound. At this point, things go quickly downhill (pun intended). You'll have to listen to the episode to discover the ultimate fate of the passengers of Horace the Elder.

Under the Library, an actual-play Call of Cthulhu podcast, where cosmic horror is steeped in mystery and slathered with self-deprecating humor. Our main storyline, a sandbox created by our Keeper (Michael), is set in (a fictitious) 1942 New Mexico and follows the misadventures of Pappy (Chris), Jo (Emily), Eddy (Scott), Sam (Rick), Sister B (Wayne), and Buddy (Arthur). We focus on narrative, improv, and character building. We may stick our heads in front of a train because that’s what our character would do, and when we look under the bed even the Keeper may not know what we’ll find. We’re crafting a story, creating flawed characters, suspenseful events, and fulfilling revelations. Call of Cthulhu is a horror TTRPG; characters die horribly graphic deaths. It’s for mature audiences, but played by immature people.
