I started my journey in the music world at the age of 17 when I went on stage for the first time. It happened during a Vanilla Sky concert in Kyiv's Maydan Square, where I was in the fan-zone. Since then, my love for music has only grown stronger. As a music journalist and photographer, I've had the privilege of attending many gigs and meeting big names like Linkin Park, Depeche Mode, RHCP, Placebo, and more. I later ventured into social media, PR, and band management in the music industry. I organized festivals, parties, and lectures of all sizes in Ukraine. In 2019, I even got the opportunity to be part of the Sziget festival team. It wasn't until the summer of 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, that I discovered my passion for DJing. I met my DJing teacher while working on another music project and became fascinated by the beautiful DJ equipment. Despite initial doubts from my team, I dove into learning DJing with enthusiasm. And now, in 2023, I've already performed in 90 gigs. I began DJing during the pandemic and faced the challenges of war in my country. In the summer of 2022, I went on my first European tour, playing at famous venues like Katerblau and Klunkerkranich, and performing at festivals such as Bucht der Traumer and Zugvogel fest. All of this became possible thanks to the amazing community I've built around myself. ▌II How did you prepare this mix and what was your main inspiration? I aim to showcase the most powerful music that currently captivates me, breaking the boundaries of what I "should" play. Additionally, I am enthusiastic about featuring the music of Ukrainian producers, so this set is brimming with incredible creations from my friends and other local creatives. I dare say that if you turn up the volume on this mix, you might inadvertently start a mini festival. ▌III What’s your favorite club and what’s your favorite festival - explain why! My favorite club is Kureni in Kyiv. It used to be an old restaurant specializing in Ukrainian cuisine. A few years ago, it underwent renovations and transformed into a stunning music venue. The main highlight of Kureni is its distinctive architecture, multiple levels, and its location in trees on the hills overlooking the Dnipro River. When you combine high-quality sound and a crowd of beautiful people, you truly experience the essence of Kureni. In my opinion, the Bucht der Traumer festival in Germany is hands down my favorite festival experience.
