I put together this mix purely with the dancers and club floor in mind, it's big energy, big melodies, big feels. I want to sweat and move and shake, feel the rush of adrenaline and euphoria in unison, forget everything and be with you. An ode to my love of the rave. ▌II Which tracks marks a highlight in your set? There's a new, unreleased tune of mine in there, which I'm excited to have heard in the context of the mix. My favourite moment when performing is sharing my own records and seeing people connect with them. Testing things I make in the club informs the music I make so much, I noticed the difference during the lockdowns and absence of parties and festivals since 2020, the tunes I made had a very different tone. Now that we are able to dance together again, I'm feeling the essence of the doof very much and my output is turning to these sounds again. It brings me a lot of joy. ▌III Is there some new things you learned in the last while? Did you find more inputs or new topics to focus on? I've been focusing a lot on my live show the last couple of years. I had the pleasure to perform it in Berlin, Leipzig and Amsterdam before the pandemic hit and I'm happy to say now gigs are flowing back in and I'm getting to perform live again. There was a lot to learn, the best ways to incorporate hardware, create a visual component to make it more immersive, ways to make the setlist flexible so I can perform a little like djing and choose tracks depending on the crowd and setting.
