HITO (https://soundcloud.com/hito-love) presents United We Stream Podcast Nr. 023 🗯🗯 Did your approach on creating music change during the pandemic and did it maybe even influence your stay? 🗯🗯 I start to productive before the pandemic start. So I appreciate that I have been doing it during the pandemic and think about more meaning of production. But my message of DJing is more energy and live act with people so I have been finding the different way of expression in this new situation. This is more important meaning for me. 🗯🗯 What´s your history with music in general and DJ-ing especially 🗯🗯 My history of DJ-ing is Berlin. I moved to Berlin in 1999. Then I have been playing local clubs. I have been playing more house to bigbeat and breakbeats and less Techno that time. Then I met Richie (Richie Hawtin) in 2008 in Berlin, joining his ENTER.sake in Ibiza in 2012, 3 years after I became “HITO”, have been playing worldwide. 🗯🗯 How would you describe your style? 🗯🗯 I would say “Hito Style”..haha.. I am still 100% Vinyl player in any venues so I still feel don’t give up to play in Vinyl. I don’t forget myself the first touch of the track on vinyl and want to share with new generation. 🗯🗯 Did you have a mentor? 🗯🗯 I grow up with Richie, he shows me many different situations and venues and countries in the world. I most experienced his set in my DJ life I guess so I simply appreciate his sharing and passion for the music. I really thankful for this. 🗯🗯 Which tracks marks a highlight in your set? 🗯🗯 I would say some of the track when I play around after 40”min. I normally do first half a hour warm up myself then I create first loller coaster point with highlight go my set.
