For episode 7 of UNSUNG host  MixedByJocelin and producer Matt Soczywko jumped on a call to chop it up with a slightly under the weather David Yungin Kim (not that you'd know it) direct from his room at Chalice Recording Studios in Los Angeles.GRAMMY-winning and multi-platinum mix engineer David Yungin Kim has been instrumental in crafting the sound of contemporary hip-hop. His close collaboration with Nas on the King's Disease series won the legendary rapper his first GRAMMY, while Kim’s sonic fingerprint and deep understanding of West Coast engineering techniques can be heard on Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp a Butterfly, and Nipsey Hussle's Racks in the Middle. Above all else, David is known for his open and transparent approach - regularly putting aspiring producers and engineers on game on his Twitch streams. More recently David has moved more into the production realm.
