Siyabulela Mandela - Personal Lessons from History

Siyabulela Mandela is a scholar-activist and Nelson Mandela’s great-grandson. He speaks to us from South Sudan, where he trains journalists to advocate for human rights. He speaks to us about the structural and historical situation that has led to racism in the US, and the opportunity for each of us to “decolonize our mind”, and shares the characteristics that allowed his great grandfather Mandela to stand up to oppression with courage.
