Hello everyone. Welcome to another exciting episode of VR in Education. In today’s episode, we explore a recent post I did on LinkedIn. In the posting I talked about 4 ways to keep your VR lab or program from suffering a slow death. Some of the strategies to sustain a VR lab and program might be: 1. Work closely with instructors and educators on how to integrate Virtual Worlds that connect to bigger concepts within their curriculum. 2. Refrain from “type-casting” the VR lab and headsets to just one department or section within your school. 3. Scale up professional development that teaches educators how to use and build no-code virtual worlds and experiences and how to connect these to learning outcomes. 4. Develop a “learning in 3D” academic policy that outlines the mission and vision around how , when and why VR can enhance learning. In this episode, I want to unpack some of these in greater detail.

Cognitive3D is a powerful spatial analytics platform that delivers data analytics and insights to anyone building a VR/MR training simulation or research application. We have invited Tony Bevilacqua who is CEO of Cognitive 3D to discuss with us more about his useful tools. To learn more check out https://cognitive3d.com/.
Hello everyone. Welcome to another exciting episode of VR in Education. As teachers, we are often charged with helping students make sense of complex ideas. In this situation, we might start with basic facts and blend in more sophisticated ideas and experiences to help form a bigger picture of the learning landscape. In this way, we form schemata that may provide an epiphany or “light” bulb moment for our learners whereby they feel like they have learnt something on a deeper level. Yet, providing this type of learning journey can be difficult, time-consuming and not always possible. Today, on the show we have invited Anurupa Ganguly. She is the founder and CEO of Prisms of Reality. Anurupa graduated from MIT with a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and went on to get her M.Ed from Boston University.
